Melissa's New Smile!

This post is all about what makes this mother's heart smile - seeing my daughter's new smile!

Due to health issues, Melissa has gum thickening and other serious dental issues.  Because of the decay, we hadn't even realized that she had stopped smiling.

Last fall, she began a process to correct her teeth.  She was blessed to work with 3 fabulous dentists who were determined that Melissa have her smile back.  Dr. Travis Tiner (903.455.1978) did the extractions necessary.  Dr. John Adcock (903.581.2900) of Tyler is a huge blessing as he completed 5 hours of gum surgery to uncover over 2/3 of each tooth.  His compassion was obvious throughout the process, especially as his staff presented Melissa with "good patient" flowers as she climbed in the car for the ride home. This photo is post gum surgery and the huge amount of tooth uncovered is clearly visible.

Dr. Adcock's work set up her mouth for 'Dr. Felix' Exelbierd (903.849.3480) of Chandler, Texas, to handle the general dentistry required as the final part of the process.  Yes, this has all been very costly and most of it is being paid out of Melissa's own pocket (she is even living at home to allow her entire paycheck to go to her dental bills) - but oh, it is so worth it to see this great smile all day, every day!

If a photo is worth a thousand words - then all these are words of joy and praise for these three doctors and the use of their God given skills.  If you are seeking a new dentist or in need of work to bring back your smile, I encourage you to give these men a call!
