Cruising Part 3: Dolphin Cay - Nassau, Bahamas (Part 2 of 2)

My daughter and I recently returned from our Caribbean cruise.  Our second port was Nassau, Bahamas where we had the opportunity to make a life-long dream of Melissa's come true.  She has always wanted to swim with the dolphins.  Our excursion wasn't cheap but was certainly worth the cost.  We went to the Atlantis Resort, to their Dolphin Cay beach for our adventure.  We were required to squeeze into wetsuits - something I never dreamed nor desired.  Our dolphin partner was Noah.  Each in our party took part in a basic "training" session before heading out to the water and dolphins.  We were each allowed an unhurried private visit with Noah where we were encouraged to hug and kiss him if we desired.  A handler offered us instruction, guidance and encouragement.  Once everyone had their private time, the dolphins and groups gathered together so that the dolphins (only those who wanted to participate) could show off a bit. Atlantis had a photographer there to take photos which were for sale. Through the confirmation of our travel agent, I had the opportunity to bring my personal camera and take photos as long as I didn't take it into the water.

Please enjoy the journey as we did, but remember that all these photos are under my copyright and not to be copied, posted, shared, or used in any way without my permission as the photographer.
