The End of the Texas Wildflower Season

There's something about Texas wildflowers that cries out for family photos. I'm no exception.  It took a little begging, and putting my camera on 3 shots a second, to get these pics of my daughter and husband.

We had a curious on-looker, peaking through the fence, checking out my efforts to capture the perfect bluebonnet photographs.

We also witnessed this little one finding a beautiful, peaceful place for an afternoon rest!

And finally, just a couple more - because they were such a wonderful crop of Texas Wildflowers this year.

Just this past week, we drove to Oklahoma and took a scenic route in hopes of capturing a few more bluebonnets. Sadly, the most beautiful of the fields seems to have been played out. Guess we'll just have to look forward to next year!

A Closer Look - Texas Wildflowers Part 2

This is a second look at the Texas bluebonnets and wildflowers with photos taken just before Easter in the central region of the state.  This blog will focus on a close-up look at mainly bluebonnets and wildflowers but with some other lovely flowers included.

As always, I hope that you enjoyed the photos but please do not re-post, cut, paste, share, tweet, copy, or use them in any form or fashion without my permission as the copywriter and photographer.

Texas Wildflowers in Bloom! Part 1

Recently my family took a drive to see for ourselves if the bluebonnets and wildflowers are really as abundant this year as described.  The answer is a resounding - YES!

The rains of late winter and early spring have the bluebonnets, paint brush and other truly lovely blooms painting the hills and valleys of Central Texas some awesome colors.

It didn't take long for us to find multiple areas for me to take my photos.  I hope that you enjoy them.
